The Gods and Goddesses of Talishar

The races of Talishar have a vast patheon of gods and goddesses that they pray to. Some of these beings are good, some evil, and some are misunderstood. Below are some of the gods and goddesses and what they have dominion over.

The Nameless God- The Nameless God is the supreme god of the Realm of Talishar and has the power to make mortals gods and gods mortal. Little is known about the Nameless God and many rumors abound about him. Some say he created the Realm of Talishar, others say he usurped the realm from other beings, and still others say he claimed the realm after he found it abandoned and slowly dying. What is known is that he walks the land in physical form from time to time either as an adventurer or to ensure that certain events happen. For the most part the Nameless God is worshipped by the other gods of the realm but there are small sects of mortals that follow him in hopes of being made gods.

Dashur- Dashur is the God of Light and Knowledge. He pierces the darkness in the forms of the sun, moon, and stars and hopes to bring all knowledge to the races of the world. Dashur is constantly battling Malis to give all knowledge to the races because he believes that the races would use it wisely and not cause the catastrophe Malis fears. He is worshipped by those he seek knowledge in all its forms as well as those who seek to spread civilization. His priests are respected and sought after as advisors to kings and peasants alike.

Malis- Malis is the Goddess of Darkness, Shadows, Hidden Knowledge. Even as light pierces the darkness she surrounds the light limiting how much it shows. She fears the races gaining all knowledge because she does not think they would be able to handle it. To her somethings should not be known to all and it is her job to prevent the knowledge from falling into the wrong hands. Though she battles Dashur over what should be revealed to all and what should not Malis does so because she fears the catastrophe that would befall the world should all knowledge be revealed to the races. Malis is worshipped by thieves, spies, and those who have something they wish to hide. Because she is secretive she is often mistakenly believed to be evil and her priests and followers are shunned by the rest of the races.
